Sven is Partner at 819 Capital Partners and co-founder of the firm. He is responsible for managing the firm, fund management, the primary investment process and portfolio management activities.

Prior to founding 819 Capital, Sven gained over nine years of experience in investment management and advisory. He spent over five years in private equity, with a focus on venture capital, where he was involved in dozens of transactions, primarily with companies in the med-tech and life sciences sectors. As an investment manager, he also supported several portfolio companies in strategy, finance, HR and M&A processes, including the merger of Oneplanetcrowd with Invesdor Group.

In addition to his investment management expertise, Sven has more than four years of advisory experience. He has carried out assignments at multinationals in the fields of corporate governance and FX risk management, and has worked for a leading M&A firm and a strategy consulting firm.

Sven holds a MSc in Management & Economics, with a specialisation in strategic management (WUR) and has completed an executive course in the field of corporate finance and restructurings (Harvard). More recently, he completed the Executive Master of M&A and Valuation (RUG), with distinction.

Sven has the Register Valuator designation (NiRV) and has completed level I and level II of the CFA program (CFA Institute).
