Gijs is a Jr. Investment Associate at 819 Capital Partners, where he is involved across the full investment cycle of 819 Evergreen Fund.
With prior experience at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and investments, Gijs is well-equipped to support the fund’s investment activities. Gijs has worked as an R&D researcher, strategy consultant, and most recently gained venture capital experience at Rabo Investments.

Gijs plays an active role in identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities and conducting in-depth due diligence to assess financials, market positioning, and technological innovation. He also conducts market research and monitors the performance of portfolio companies, helping to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
Gijs holds an MSc in Bioinformatics from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and studied at ETH Zürich.
