LionVolt is a startup (spin-out from research institute TNO at its Holst Centre) based in Eindhoven, working on next-generation battery technology through a proprietary 3D-structured solid-state battery architecture.

Their 3D anode design allows for significantly higher energy density, faster charging, improved safety (solid-state, potentially no liquid electrolytes), and enhanced sustainability compared to typical lithium-ion batteries.

LionVolt combines thin-film and roll-to-roll manufacturing processes to create batteries that can be “drop-in” compatible with existing manufacturing lines — aiming for scalable mass production.
