AIKON Health

AIKON Health is a spin‑off from TNO (specifically from TNO’s Holst Centre) that develops wearable biosensors for personalised management of heart‑failure patients.

Their flagship product is a modular wearable system — consisting of ultra‑thin, flexible skin patches and sensors — which continuously monitor key health parameters (e.g. cardiac output, fluid levels, ECG, respiration) from home, aiming to detect early signs of deterioration. By enabling continuous remote monitoring, AIKON Health aims to reduce hospital readmissions of heart‑failure patients by roughly 25%, improve quality of life, and ease pressure on the healthcare system.
