Wolk is a Dutch MedTech company transforming fall prevention and elderly care through its innovative smart hip airbag technology. With fall incidents posing one of the greatest threats to the independence and well-being of the elderly, Wolk offers a proactive solution designed to drastically reduce the impact of fall-related injuries.

The company’s wearable hip airbag continuously monitors the user’s movements using advanced motion sensors. In the event of a fall, the system inflates within milliseconds around the hip area, absorbing the impact force and reducing the risk of a hip fracture by approximately 95%. Beyond hardware, Wolk functions as a comprehensive data platform for fall prevention, generating valuable insights to help healthcare providers optimize risk analysis and care delivery.

Today, Wolk’s technology is used daily in elderly care facilities and home care environments across the Netherlands. The company continues to scale its platform while advancing predictive analytics to identify fall risks at an early stage.

We invested in Wolk from 819 Seed Fund.
